Rarely available Director of Safety available with a well known construction firm. The Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the company’s safety program to promote a strong safety culture, protect employees, minimize workplace injuries and losses, and ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, OSHA requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
This role provides safety leadership and guidance to management and field personnel, oversees jobsite safety practices, manages general liability and workers’ compensation claims, ensures timely OSHA reporting, and coordinates employee safety training. The Safety Director also monitors regulatory compliance, identifies potential hazards, investigates incidents, and recommends proactive measures to reduce risk, improve safety performance, and support continuous improvement across the organization.
7-10 years of safety leadership in the construction industry, CSP, and other applicable safety certifications required and strong experience with workers compensation claims.
